Session #5 started on April 2 and it was exciting and lots of fun. We have 54 students enrolled in this session - 8 NEW students the rest are return students!! I must say our students and our instructors are really enthusiastic about learning how to swim. Each week they get better. I enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces when they accomplish something as small as putting their face in the water for the first time. I love the Josh Project and I love the students, instructors and especially the lessons coordinator Cindy - and of course my daughter who I affectionately call "Sissy" who has been by my side at the lessons too! This week in addition to being the 1st Saturday of a new lesson session - it was also the 4th Annual Community Breakfast given by City Council President Wilma D. Brown. I mention this because the proceeds from the Breakfast are donated to The Josh Project!! We humbly and graciously accepted $1500.00 this Sunday! We take our hats & gloves off to Wilma and her entire crew, ie. the cooks, the ticket sellers, the servers and everyone who attended. All of the proceeds will go towards helping children learn the wonderful accredited sport of swimming and water safety. I promise to blog more - I just have to remember how to. I wish peace, love, hope & joy to all of you......................the lyfesaver
