The JOSH PROJECT was recently selected as the "Community Action Award Recipient" by the Toledo CBTU Chapter at the occasion of their 23rd Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday March 26, 2011. The event was held at the Ramada Inn on Secor Avenue. Their theme was "Engage, Educate and Empower." The guest speaker was State Senator Nina Turner who was very articulate, engaging, spiritual & enlightening. Dinner consisted of breast of chicken marsala, roast prime rib and cajun style broiled tilapia, vegetables and a great variety of desserts. Live entertainment was provided by the group Dezire. All in all it was a very well planned and informative event and myself and my daughter Tankeeya and I were very glad to have been invited.
